SEECLAP GUIDE

Audio and subtitles that suit you

Choose tracks, adjust timing and make subtitles easier to read.

Change the audio track

During playback, open Options (…) → Audio; on TV, use the track menu. Choose a language from the tracks actually provided by the video. Settings → Player → Audio lets you set a preference. It cannot create a track missing from the file.

Choose or search for subtitles

Open Options → Subtitles and choose a track or None. If online search is offered, choose a result matching the title and version. “Find the right subtitles” lets you specify the title. Availability depends on the source and player; external subtitles are not offered with VLC on Apple.

Correct timing

The Audio menu adjusts audio/video timing, while Subtitles has its own delay control. Make a small adjustment and check a line of dialogue. If subtitles drift further out of sync throughout the film, try a file matching the correct version rather than repeatedly adjusting the delay.

Improve readability

Settings → Player → Custom subtitles offers size, bold text, background and bottom margin. Text stays white. If a language is missing from the available preferences, check your system’s preferred languages. Visible choices may vary by playback engine.

Picture works but there is no sound

Try another audio track and check volume, mute and sound output. On Android, temporarily disable audio passthrough if your TV or receiver cannot decode the track. Then try another player from Options → Player selection. Compatibility depends on the file and hardware.

SeeClap is a player: it does not provide any channels or movies. You add your own playlist.
