Install and link the server

Use the website’s Server page to download the package for your computer.

  1. Install SeeClap Server and choose the library folder.
  2. Sign into your SeeClap account in the server window on the computer.
  3. Sign the app into the same account on the same local network.
  4. Open the playlist selector: your computer should appear as a local server.

Add films, series and personal videos

Add your own videos through the server interface and check identification. An unrecognised file may need a manually completed entry before appearing in the app. Personal video categories are organised on the server and appear under Personal. Disconnecting a drive can temporarily make its media unavailable.

The computer does not appear

Check that the server is running, the computer is awake and both devices use the same main network. Guest Wi-Fi can isolate devices. On iPhone and iPad, allow Local Network access for SeeClap. Open the local-server introduction in the app to search again. Check the account in the server window.

The server appears but does not respond

Restart the server, then open Settings → My playlist → Diagnostic in the app. Dedicated checks distinguish computer discovery, device access, catalogue and playback. Follow the suggested action, such as resynchronising the catalogue. This does not delete videos from the computer.

Understand the scope

Local servers do not count towards the four-provider-playlist limit. Access from outside the home is not provided by this setup. Replay and live recording are unavailable. Playback and conversion options depend on the file and computer; use the choices available in your version.

SeeClap is a player: it does not provide any channels or movies. You add your own playlist.
